"CRPF has gained the confidence and faith among the people of the country. It is playing its responsibility not only in maintaining law and order but also during natural calamity and for welfare of the society," GOC 15 Corps Lt Gen Om Prakash, who took the salute at the parade, said.
366 constables, hailing from different parts of the country, underwent a basic training for about a year, a CRPF spokesperson said, adding that they will perform multifarious duties ranging from normal law and order duties to serious internal security problems.
The centre has trained more than 18,000 recruits so far, he said.
