Over 40 auto makers to participate in Auto Expo 2016

Over 40 auto manufacturers will participate in the 2016 edition of the India's flagship biennial automobile show 'Auto Expo'.

As many as 22 passenger and commercial vehicles' manufacturers and 18 two & three wheeler makers will participate in the expo.

The show that is jointly organised by SIAM and industry body CII will be held in February 2016 at India Exposition Mart, Greater Noida.

The entire floor space for the event has been sold out, said the Society for Indian Automobile Manufactures (SIAM) in a statement.

For this edition, total indoor exhibition area has been increased almost 20 per cent to over 50,000 sqm from 42,000 sqm of 2014.
 

"The entire floor space has been sold out at the largest automotive event in the country despite having more than 7,000 sqmts extra space than last year," SIAM said in a statement.

Commenting on it, SIAM Director General Vishnu Mathur said:"The event has been giving unique opportunity to both indigenous and international vehicle manufacturers to put forth their upcoming products and technologies on a global platform. This time we expect the show to become bigger, better and more exciting."

It will be a comprehensive show in which the leading auto makers would showcase their products including cars, MUV/SUV, two wheelers, three wheelers, special vehicles, concept vehicles, commercial vehicles (trucks & buses)and vintage Cars, super cars and bikes.

Apart from auto firms, 2016 edition would comprise tyres and tubes, oil companies, automotive design and technology, engineering and IT for automobile companies, universities, financial institutions and auto insurance companies.
