In a massive drive against drunken driving, Delhi Traffic police has prosecuted 446 drunk drivers and impounded 322 vehicles.
The special drive was held on Friday and Saturday from 7 PM to 12 midnight, police said, adding that 52 owners of the vehicles were also prosecuted during the drive.
"Drive was held in all 43 traffic circles and officers/officials were deployed with sufficient numbers of Alcometers for intensive prosecution against drunk drivers. During the drive, total 446 drunk drivers were prosecuted and as many as 322 vehicles were impounded. 52 vehicle owners were prosecuted," said a senior police officer.

The officer also said that all traffic inspector (Circles) and ACPs (Districts) were available during the drive for exercising effective supervision and ensuring strict prosecution activities.
He also added that it was also ensured that all violators are provided with fresh blow pipe while conducting the breath test.
The break-up of the prosecution is - 271 Scooters/Motorcycles, 159 cars, 7 TSRs, 5 HTVs/LGVs/MGVs, 5 Delivery vans and 4 other vehicles.
