The maximum quantity has arrived in Kurukshetra which is over 8.68 lakh metric tonnes, a spokesman of the Haryana Food and Supplies Department said here today.
Karnal received over 8.11 lakh metric tonnes of paddy, Kaithal more than 6.30 lakh metric tonnes, Fatehabad over 5.79 lakh metric tonnes and Ambala 4.64 lakh metric tonnes, he said.
Out of the total arrival of the paddy, six government agencies have procured over 36.98 lakh metric tonnes, the spokesman said.
The remaining over 6.73 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was procured by the millers.
