Over 5K villages in Rajasthan declared scarcity-hit

Rajasthan Home and Disaster Management minister Gulab Chand Kataria today announced that 5,656 villages in 13 districts of the state were scarcity-hit.

Chairing a meeting of officials today at his office, Kataria sanctioned relief measures of Rs 146 crore for 'gaushalas' in affected districts.

Kataria announced several relief measures for farmers, including in revenue collection and conversion of short-term loans to mid-term loans.
