Jammu and Kashmir Government today said that over seven lakh hectares of land was under agricultural use in the state.
Replying to a question from Congress legislator Jehangir Hussain Mir in the Legislative Assembly here, Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir said that the total agriculture area in the state is 7.316 lakh hectares, while the gross agriculture area during 2010-11 was 11.398 lakh hectares.
In reply to another question, Mir said that 377 registered brick kilns have been constructed on agricultural land in the state.
