Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat today claimed that over 70 per cent of the announcements made in the Congress's manifesto for 2012 assembly polls have been implemented.

"We have implemented 70 per cent of the announcements contained in the manifesto for 2012 polls and action plan on the rest of them is being worked out.

"In times to come, 100 per cent of the announcements made in the party manifesto will be implemented," Rawat said, addressing a meeting of the manifesto implementation committee of the PCC here.

Work has also been initiated on 57 per cent of the announcements made during his own tenure, he said.

Promising welfare work for different sections including women, Dalits, minorities, poor, farmers and ex-servicemen in accordance with the spirit of the party manifesto, he said taking the process of development to the doorstep of people living in the remotest end of the hill state is his primary goal.

Speaking on the occasion, PCC president Kishore Upadhyay said he was confident that the popular government under the stewardship of Rawat will implement the manifesto in its entirety despite the Centre curtailing budgetary allocations to the state.
