Over dozen doctors absent in govt hospital in UP

Over a dozen doctors were found absent from their duty during a surprise inspection conducted in a district hospital here, an official said today.

A few employees, who had signed on duty register, were also not present in their respective departments, the official said.

During a inspection conducted between 8.15 am to 9.30 am in the district hospital, 14 doctors, including Chief Medical Superintendent V K Gupta, were found absent from their duty, " ADM Ravindra Kumar, who conducted the inspection, said.

No doctor was present on duty in different departments of the hospital, he said, adding the worst part of the hospital management was registration section for senior citizens, where no staff was present.

 

Kumar said, "deduction of one day salary of staff and doctors, who were found absent from their duty, has been recommended.
