Electoral authorities have seized more than Rs 14 crore of unaccounted cash till March 26 in Tamil Nadu, where the model code of conduct for the assembly elections came into force on March 4.
The static surveillance teams and flying squads have recovered more than Rs 14 crore of unaccounted cash till March 26, Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh Lakhoni said today.
The cash was being carried without proper supporting documents, Lakhoni said in a release issued from his office.

Over 1.90 lakh complaints regarding violation of MCC have also been received, it added.
Polling is scheduled in the state on May 16.
