Overcast sky, humid morning in Delhi

Residents of the national capital today woke up to an overcast sky and humid conditions with minimum temperature settling at 26.1 degree Celsius, a notch above the season's average.

According to MeT department, humidity level soared to 89 per cent by 8.30 AM. An official of the department has predicted light rains later in the day.

Safdarjung observatory has recorded 4.3 mm of rainfall while 5.8 mm of rainfall was recorded at Palam observatory till 8.30 AM this morning.

"The skies will be generally cloudy. Light rains may occur in some areas of the capital and maximum temperature is expected to settle at 32 degree Celsius," the official also said.
 

Yesterday, the minimum and maximum temperature recorded were 26 degree and 33.5 degree Celsius respectively.
