Overseas clients visit RSP, to place more orders for slabs

A team of overseas clients from Daewoo International of South Korea and Gunung Steel Corporation of Indonesia today visited Rourkela Steel Plant, a unit of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL).

The clients, who interacted with RSP CEO G S Prasad, are procuring slabs from RSP's new Continuous Caster for their steel plants in Indonesia and other South East Asian nations, a company release said here.

They together had placed an order of 11,000 tonnes slabs before RSP that has already been serviced.

The processing of another order for 20,000 tonnes of slabs was going on and dispatch would start very soon, the release said adding that an additional order of 16,000 tonnes was also expected from them in the near future.
 

They visited the model room, the New Continuous Caster at the Steel Melting Shop-II, and saw the process of production of slabs, it said.
