In view of heavy snowfall, the Kashmir University has postponed all examinations scheduled to be held in the first week of next month.

"All University examinations scheduled from January 1 to 5 next year have been postponed owing to heavy snowfall," Kashmir University spokesman Showkat Shafi said here today.

However, examinations scheduled from January 6 will be conducted as per dates already notified, he said.

Fresh dates for the postponed examinations will be notified soon, the spokesman said.

The Kashmir Valley has been cut off from rest of the country with heavy snowing forcing closure of Srinagar-Jammu national highway and suspension of air traffic.
