Healthcare network Oxxy on Wednesday said the company along with its partners will offer interest-free loans for any medical treatment or surgery in the country.
Oxxy Healthcare will offer the loan facility from over 2 lakh centres in its network, the company said.
There will be no processing fee and the application will be processed within hours, Oxxy Healthcare said in a statement.
"Oxxy's vision is to eradicate the tension one faces when it comes to medical expenditure and we are strongly working to address the pain point," Oxxy Founder Pankaj Gupta said.
Around 50 per cent of Indians cannot access tertiary level healthcare due to lack of immediate funds, he added.
Besides, around 30 per cent of urban people in the country and 70 per cent in rural areas take loans to fund medical expenses, Gupta said.
"Half of these people take loans from loan sharks at exorbitant interest rates. Oxxy is there to help patients expedite and fasten the process at absolutely zero interest rates", he added.
