OYO partners HDFC's PayZapp to link payments

Budget hotels brand OYO Rooms has partnered with HDFC Bank's mobile payment application PayZapp to make the transactions for booking hotels on its platform.

This tie-up will enable customers to directly link their debit and credit card to PayZapp and book an OYO room. With PayZapp, users do not need to preload money each time they transact - and can thereby access a convenient and secure way of payment.

"The app now drives over 60 per cent of our bookings. We have received positive customer feedback on the tie-up with PayZapp that will help us reach new customers while enhancing the experience of our existing user-base," OYO Founder and CEO Ritesh Agarwal said.

Lakshmi Vilas Bank names NS Venkatesh as Executive Director * Private sector lender Lakshmi Vilas Bank today appointed N S Venkatesh as its executive director.

He would be responsible for enhancing the IT enabled services for ensuring efficient operations, to improve the business and profit per employee by optimised utilisation of resources, duly ensuring compliance to regulatory and statutory directions, the bank said in a statement.

He will be responsible for internal control, risk mitigation and to enhance the income through treasury operations, thereby increasing the value of investors and stake holders.

Prior to this, Venkatesh was with IDBI Bank as the executive director and chief financial officer.

Den Networks appoints SN Sharma as CEO

* Cable TV distribution company Den Networks today said it has appointed S N Sharma as its Chief Executive Officer.

Sharma is an industry veteran having been associated with the media industry for close to 25 years.

"Under his able leadership Den will scale greater heights in time to come. Den's cable TV partners and associates are all geared up to work in perfect coordination to adopt new systems and technologies for better monetisation of investments," Chairman MD Sameer Manchanda said in a statement.

FCM Travel Solutions appoints Vikram Kohli as President * Leading corporate travel brand FCM Travel Solutions, part of the Australia-headquartered Flight Centre Travel Group, today named Vikram Kohli as its President.

Kohli will have oversight of the strategic direction, expansion and operation of FCM Travel Solutions in India, the company said in a release here.

He will also be responsible for building and managing the technology product areas that pan all functions and verticals under FCM.
GIPCL signs PPA with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam

* Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd (GIPCL) today announced that it has entered into power purchase pact for 25 years with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd for entire 26 mw wind farm capacity of the Rojmal wind farm.

"GIPCL has signed Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) for a period of twenty five years with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for the entire 26 MW Wind Farm capacity of the Rojmal Wind Farm .... On December 16, 2016," the company said in a statement.

KEI Industries extends tie-up with Brugg Kabel to make cables * KEI Industries today said that it has signed a foreign "Technical Collaboration" agreement with Switzerland-based Brugg Kabel AG to manufacture extra high voltage cables above 220kV and up to 400kV at its Chopanki facility in district Alwar of Rajasthan.

The technical collaboration agreement will allow KEI complete know-how transfer which shall include design, manufacturing, testing, techniques, training of its manufacturing / design personnel in manufacturing of cables along with jointing techniques as also complete EHV system design of EHV cables, the company said in a statement.
