Pratt & Whitney has provided more than 20 spare engines for A320 neo aircraft operated by IndiGo as well as GoAir and none of the airlines' planes are grounded now, aviation industry sources said.
With the two airlines facing problems with the P&W engines that power their A320 neo planes, aviation regulator DGCA had asked the US company to expedite the supply of engines.
IndiGo, which is the country's largest airline in terms of market share, has 24 neo aircraft while rival GoAir operates eight such planes.

Four spare engines were provided to GoAir in September, they added.
Earlier, IndiGo and GoAir had to ground some of their neo planes due to engine issues.
Currently, none of the A320 neo aircraft operated by IndiGo are grounded, the sources said. At one point of time, the no-frills carrier had grounded eight of these planes, which also had an impact on its flight operations.
There were no immediate comments from IndiGo and P&W.
When asked about its A320 neo planes, a GoAir spokesperson said, "no aircraft is grounded". Following engine issues, the airline had grounded around 3-4 of these aircraft.
The P&W engines were facing issues related to bearing and combustion. P&W is part of United Technologies Corp.
IndiGo had cancelled 667 flights in 13 days between June 21 and July 3 due to grounding of some planes, sources had said in September.
"IndiGo is getting compensation from P&W for the revenue loss its each grounded aircraft is suffering every day due to non-operation," an official source had said at that time.
On October 24, UTC Chairman and CEO Greg Hayes provided an update on the engines.
"Pratt shipped 120 Geared Turbofan engines (in the third quarter) which includes some of those that were allocated to our spares pool, but that 120 shipments nearly matches the output for the entire first half.
"So with 254 engines shipped year-to-date, Pratt remains well on track to the 350 to 400 engine target that we laid out earlier this year," Hayes had said during a conference call to discuss UTC's latest quarterly results.
IndiGo and GoAir have placed large orders for A320 neo planes.
