Members of the Karni Sena today staged a protest against Bollywood film 'Padmaavat' at a private mall here today.

Agitated members of Rajasthan-based outfit barged into the mall demanding a complete ban on the film Padmaavat release.

"They tore film posters, damaged property and manhandled the mall staff", Station House Officer (SHO), Kakadev, Ajay Kumar Singh told PTI.

The protesters threatened the district administration to be ready to face mass protests if the film was released and screened in Kanpur.
