Pak arrests Indian man trying to cross border

Pakistani authorities today claimed to have arrested an Indian man from Jammu and Kashmir near the border in Punjab province.

According to a Punjab Rangers spokesperson, the 36-year-old man identified as Sohan Lal was arrested while he was trying to cross into Pakistan from India in the border area of Kujial Sialkot in Sialkot district, about 90 kilometres from Lahore yesterday.

"The man has been identified as Sohan Lal, son of Ghara Ram, resident of Kashmir's tehsil R S Pura," the spokesman said.

The man has been handed over to intelligence agencies for further investigation.
