Pakistan today briefed the envoys of the P5 countries -- the US, China, Russia, the UK and France -- over alleged ceasefire violations by India along the Line of Control (LoC).
Senior officials of Pakistan's military and foreign ministry briefed the Head of Missions of Permanent Members of UN Security Council about the "recent escalation of ceasefire violations by India on the LoC and Working Boundary," the foreign office said in a statement.
The briefing was conducted by Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua and Director General Military Operations (DGMO) Sahir Shamshad Mirza in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"Pakistan had displayed exemplary restraint but has been compelled to respond. Indian actions are a serious threat for the maintenance of regional peace and tranquility and may lead to a strategic miscalculation, she said.
