Pakistani businessmen with assured financial standing and credentials will be given multiple entry business visas upto three years, Lok Sabha was informed today.
Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju said instructions were issued by the government on July 7. Business visas can be granted for a period of upto five years or for a shorter duration as per the requirement to nationals of SAARC countries except in the case of nationals of Nepal, Bhutan and Pakistan.
While citizens of Nepal and Bhutan do not require any visa for visiting India, a certain category of Pakistani nationals are presently eligible for multiple entry business visas for a maximum period of one year restricted to 10 places, he said.
