"The Government of Pakistan strongly condemns the bomb attack on US personnel working in their Consulate in Peshawar," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
It added that the attack against diplomats is a "despicable act and cannot be condoned by any rationale".
The Government will conduct full investigation into the case and would spare no effort to bring the individuals behind this crime to justice as soon as possible, it said.
President Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned the bomb blast and said the perpetrators of such heinous crime would not be spared, the President office said.
The President expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and directed best possible treatment for the injured.
Early today, a bomber had slammed his car, laden with 110 kg of explosives into the Consulate vehicle, minutes after it had left the heavily guarded and fortified Consulate building and was passing a UNHCR guest house on Aabdara Road in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
