Pak condemns terror attack on Afghan army base

Pakistan today "strongly condemned" the Taliban attack on an army base in northern Afghanistan that killed over 100 and injured dozens of people.

"We extend our heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences to the government and the people of Afghanistan as well as to the bereaved families and pray for early recovery of the injured," the Foreign Office said.

The attack which took place yesterday is considered as one of the worst in the country. Over 100 Afghan soldiers were killed and dozens injured in the attack, according to Afghan defence ministry.

"We extend our heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences to the government and the people of Afghanistan as well as to the bereaved families and pray for early recovery of the injured," the Foreign Office said.
 

Pakistan reiterates strong condemnation of terrorism in all forms and manifestations, it said.

"We reaffirm our continued commitment to work closely with the Afghan Government and the international community in the fight against the scourge of terrorism," it added.
