Pakistan today welcomed the possibility of resumption of cricketing relations with India after reports that the rival cricket-frenzy neighbours may once again look horns over the playground.
Foreign Office spokesman Qazi Khalillulah said at weekly briefing that the two countries "keep discussing these issues (cricket etc) from time to time."
He said both sides have been playing matches against each other including Cricket matches, and "such events are helpful in bringing the peoples of the two countries closer."

"As chairman of PCB said recently, we want to resume cricket matches between the two countries. In this context, we welcome positive statements from India," he said.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said this week that the full-fledged series of three Tests, five ODIs and two T20s Internationals may be played in the UAE by the end of this year.
