Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit today met Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal and said India can cooperate in development of cold chain sector in Pakistan.
Basit today greeted for appointed as the Food Processing Minister.
"...Many things especially the cold chain idea came up, I am glad we need infrastructure on both sides. India can cooperate because at the moment Pakistan is working on developing cold chain for our agriculture produce... That is one area where we can cooperate," Basit told PTI after the meeting.

Basit added that Pakistan is also looking to learn from Indian experience on cold chain.
"Idea is to how India has done it so we can replicate there and then see some possibility from private private partnership," he added.
He also said that already Pakistan is importing vegetables from India.
"We are importing potatoes from India and there are some fruits which Pakistan can export to India and she (Badal) is open to that," he said.
