A general manager of a multi- national courier firm has been sacked for filming the video of former interior minister Rehman Malik being forced to offload by furious passengers of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight for keeping them waiting for over two hours.
Arjumand Azhar Hussain made the video of Malik and ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz lawmaker Ramesh Kumar being chased out of the PIA flight on September 16 for allegedly delaying the flight due to their later arrival.
Hussain, who was the general manager of multinational courier and logistics company Gerry's Group, was sacked due to his involvement in protest, The Express Tribune reported.

Narrating his side of the story to Express News, Hussain said, "I went to work yesterday and was told that the company doesn't need my services anymore, I returned home quietly and I have no grievances."
"I only stood for our rights as Pakistanis and as plane passengers," he said, sticking firmly to his stance that protesting against wrongdoings is his democratic right and he will continue to do so.
Dismissing claims that he was abusive during the protest, Hussain said the video speaks for itself. "We were just protesting against our system," he said.
