It was decided that the terrorists will not be allowed to regroup and return to these areas and will not be given any space across the country.
The army chief expressed satisfaction over progress made in the operation.
He emphasised on the need to consolidate operational gains made so far which he hoped will also be backed up by long term counter terrorism and counter extremism measures by the concerned stake holders.
Recounting the sacrifices made and cooperation extended by brave tribesmen in fight against terrorism, General Sharif directed that no stone be left unturned to assist the displaced people during their stay outside and in their early return to their homes.
The meeting was held just days ahead of major protests by opposition parties on Thursday.
