Pak plane carrying 47 people grounded after bird hit

A major tragedy was averted today when a Lahore-bound Pakistani flight carrying 47 passengers made a successful landing following a bird hit shortly after its takeoff.

The Pakistan International Airlines flight (PK-649) was grounded successfully by the pilot at the Islamabad airport, Geo News reported.

The passengers later departed for Lahore in another plane.
