Pak PM embarks on three-day visit to Belarus

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today embarked on a three-day official visit to Belarus, the first ever by any Pakistani premier.

Prime Minister Sharif will have one-on-one meeting with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko followed by delegation- level talks. He will also meet his Belarus counterpart, Radio Pakistan reported.

It will be the first ever visit of any Pakistani Prime Minister to Belarus, Foreign office said yesterday.

Sharif will also hold talks with Chairman of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Council of the Republic.

Belarusian State University will confer an honorary Doctorate Degree on him.

Lukashenko and Sharif will inaugurate joint Pakistan-Belarus Business Forum. Shairf will also sign important agreements and MoUs between the two countries.
 

Sharif is accompanied by Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid, Minister for Food Security Sikandar Hayat Bosan, Minister for Defense Production Rana Tanveer and Special Assistant Tariq.

In May, Belarus President Lukashenko visited Pakistan and signed a series of MoUs and agreements related to cooperation in science and technology, investment, agriculture, industries and defense production, education, media, culture and law.
