Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will travel to Norway on Tuesday to participate in an education conference and hold bilateral talks with Norwegian leadership on different issues of mutual interest.

Pakistan Foreign Office today said that Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg invited Sharif to participate in the Oslo Summit on Education for Development on July 7.

"This will be the first official visit by a Pakistani leader to Norway in over a decade. During this visit, the Prime Minister will be addressing the Education Summit and interact with several world leaders," it said.

Sharif will hold delegation level talks with his Norwegian counterpart. He will also meet Haakon Magnus, Crown Prince of Norway.

"The visit will provide an opportunity to the Prime Minister to discuss bilateral as well as global and regional issues with the Norwegian leadership," the Foreign office said.

The Prime Minister's visit will help in strengthening the existing ties between Pakistan and Norway, it said.
