Pakistan today said the mortal remains of the spouses of envoys of Malaysia and Indonesia, who were killed in last week's military helicopter crash in the PoK, have been sent home.
A special C-130 plane, carrying mortal remains of Habibah Binti Mahmud, spouse of High Commissioner of Malaysia Hasrul Sani Mujtabar, left Islamabad for Kuala Lumpur, the Foreign Office said in a statement.
"Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman, Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, and an officer from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, accompanied the Malaysian High Commissioner and family members of the deceased, on the special plane," it said.
Envoys of the Philippines and Norway and the wives of the Malaysian and Indonesian ambassadors were among seven persons killed when an MI-17 helicopter crashed in Naltar area of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir's Gilgit-Baltistan in the north.
Two army pilots and a Pakistani crew member were also among those killed.
Earlier, Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain and an officer from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, travelled to Indonesia on Wednesday with the mortal remains of Heri Listyawati, spouse of Burhan Muhammad, Ambassador of Indonesia.
"On both the occasions, dignified ceremonies with guard of honour, paying respects to the deceased, were held at Nur Khan Airbase, Islamabad before departure," it said.
The bodies of ambassadors of Norway and the Philippines were already flown to their respective countries.
On May 8, diplomats of more than 30 countries were being flown to Naltar in three helicopters when one of them crashed shortly before landing.
