Against the backdrop of killing of an army jawan in firing from across the border at the Line of Control, yoga guru Ramdev today said said Pakistan should be taught a lesson and whatever steps Prime Minister Narendra Modi takes the country will stand by him.
"Pakistan should be taught a lesson. Whatever steps Narendra Modi takes to keep the unity of the country intact, the whole nation is behind him," Ramdev said.
The yoga guru, who had canvassed support for Modi during the Lok Sabha election campaign, claimed the PM will change the future of the nation.

"People ask me whether Modi will meet all the expectations. I am confident that he is a monk by thought and attitude and he will certainly change the future of the country," he said.
Speaking at the launch of 'Hindutva', a book by Union Minister Kalraj Mishra, the yoga guru said that despite being from different religions from different parts, the origins of Indian Muslims and Christians were Indian. The event was also attended by senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, BJP MPs Yogi Adityanath and Shanta Kumar.
"The Indian Muslims should be proud that their origins and roots are the Vedic and Hindu religion....Our religions could change, but not our roots. 99 per cent of Indian Muslims have their roots in India and have the same way of life and tradition and that is Hindutva", he said.
Subramanian Swamy pitched for uniform civil code and abrogation of Article 370.
"The uniform civil code is in our constitution and the Supreme Court has, several times, asked the government to bring the code.
He claimed Article 370 can be abrogated with a single notification from the President, approved by the Cabinet.
