Pakistan today said it was for the people of India to decide on their next leader and stressed that it will work with whoever comes to power after elections.
"We don't know what would be the outcome of Indian elections. It is for the people of India to decide and choose who their next leader would be," Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said.
"We deal with countries and with governments any nation elects," she said while speaking at weekly press conference.

Aslam was replying to a query from a Pakistani journalist about what will be the country's policy if BJP leader Narendra Modi is elected as the Prime Minister of India.
India will go to polls beginning on April 7 in phases that will conclude on May 12. The results of the elections are expected on May 16.
