A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter jet was crashed and its pilot killed today in the country's northwestern Khyber agency bordering Afghanistan, officials said.
The PAF aircraft, F-7PG, was on a routine operational training when it met with the accident at Jamrud town, nearly 20 km from here, a PAF spokesperson said.
Flight lieutenant Omer Shahzad was killed in the crash, he said.

A board of inquiry has been ordered by authorities to find the cause of the accident.
Last year, a double-seat version of F-7PG PAF fighter jet, which was on a routine training mission, caught fire and crashed near Mastung district of Balochistan province.
