Nearly 140 people have died and close to one million have been affected by torrential monsoon rains and floods across Pakistan, an official disaster control body said today.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said the death toll in rain and flood-related incidents has risen to 139 while over 800 people were injured.
"The number of total displaced and affected people has reached 931,074 as per today's report," NDMA said in its latest update.

The government has set up 243 relief camps where more than 15,000 people have been living.
Muhammad Asif, the head of the NDMA chapter in Punjab, the worst affected province, said adequate supplies of food, water and medicines were available to deal with the situation.
Most the latest deaths occurred in Punjab and Sindh, which have recorded death tolls of 47 and 34, respectively.
NDMA said the victims are being provided tents, food, mosquito nets, blankets and de-watering pumps.
The annual rainy season is slowly receding and there is a forecast of scattered rains in the country.
Pakistan's worst floods in 2010 displaced over 20 million people.
