Apprehending arrest after his name figured in an FIR pertaining to manager-sibling suicide case in an Odisha palace, Congress MLA K Surya Rao today approached the high court seeking anticipatory bail.

Rao's petition has, however, not yet been listed for hearing, high court officials said.

Parala Maharaja's manager Anangamanjari Patra and her three siblings had allegedly committed suicide in Paralakhemundi in Gajapati district last week.

Alleging that the Congress MLA Rao and several others were responsible for abetting the suicide of the four, Anangmanjari's brother Amulya Patra had lodged an FIR with the police in Paralakhemundi.
