Palamu SP asked to susped 4 policemen on corruption charges

DIG (Palamu) Ravi Kant Dhan today said he directed Palamu SP Y S Ramesh to suspend four policemen on charges of corruption.

Sub-Inspector Sudag Murmu, Assistant Sub-Inspector Ashok Kumar Prasad, Pradeep Kumar Dubey (Munshi) and a driver Ramlal Sharma were found indulged in corrupt practices, Dhan told newsmen.

In a complaint to the DIG, one Ram Sagar Singh had alleged that the four demanded money from him to settle a land dispute with his neighbour for start construction work. However, construction was not allowed though he had paid them Rs 5000.

The complaint was probed by an inspector who found the four policemen guilty, Dhan said.
 

Accordingly, Dhan has asked Ramesh to suspend them.
