IPS officer Anil Paliwal today assumed charge as IG BSF-Rajasthan Frontier at its headquarter here.
He said the BSF will use rain water harvesting to deal with water scarcity at border outposts.
Paliwal took the charge from IG B R Meghwal, who is returning to his original cadre at West Bengal after completing 7 years in BSF on deputation.

Referring to the issue of border surveillance, Paliwal said his focus would be on best coordination of man and technology for stepping up surveillance on the Indo-Pak border in the desert.
"I would focus on leveraging modern surveillance technology with better human resource utilization for guarding the border," said Paliwal.
He also emphasised on better coordination among intelligence agencies and proper and timely assessment on intelligence inputs.
