Palladam-based textile unit bag four CII National awards

KOB Medical Textiles Private Ltd , Palladam in nearby Tirupur District has received four CII-National awards at the recently held National Cluster Summit in New Delhi.

The Company received first prize in quality with case study " Defect part reduction in Product, second prize in the category of Productivity : for " SMED implementation in warping" and second prize in cost and energy : Case study being "Steam consumption Reduction in Processing, at the meet organised by CII.

It also bagged the Innovative Case Study Award, MSME Category from the jury, a CII release said here today.

The summit was aimed at creating a multi stakeholder platform to promote discussions by leaders from government, industry, NGOs, academia, R and D organisations and consulting firms.
 

The theme of the 8th National Cluster Summit - 'Build SME Competitiveness: Invest in Clusters' has its genesis partly in Hon'ble Prime Minister's clarion call of Make in India including that of Zero Defect and Zero Effect and the fact that Clusters have been testified as important means of growth and transformation.

A total of 117 national awards in different categories were presented.
