Pallam Raju promises 'national' status for Polavaram project

Union Minister of Human Resources Development M M Pallam Raju said here today that he would take all steps to accord 'national' status to Polavaram project by the central government, besides providing funds for its completion.

Raju, who is campaigning for elections, said he would take "all necessary steps" to help give national status to the on-going Polavaram project and also for securing funds for it from the Centre.

Pallam Raju had already won Kakinada Lok Sabha seat thrice.
