Designer Pallavi Mohan highlighted the importance of tolerance in the society through her Autumn-Winter collection 2016 at the Amazon India Fashion Week.

Titled "Synthesis", her designs were an amalgamation of the best elements she had been using in the past few years.

"The world needs to come together and celebrate diversity. Let's all take a moment to also celebrate the diversity that makes our lives a meaningful whole," she told reporters after the show.

The designer said tolerance comes from personal lives

"All of us here have to have certain level of tolerance in the threshold. So, steady leather and strong fabrics were used..."

Models sashayed down the ramp in skirts, tunics, long dresses and they have teamed them with velvet jackets.

"I have been using fringing and laser cuts in last two seasons and there is also weave in my last season. So, there is a lot of handwork weaving work along with laser. Each piece takes really long time to woven," she said.

The colour palette consisted of olive greens, rusts and berry.
