Pallikal in JSW Challenger Squash final

Ace squash player Dipika Pallikal eased her way into the finals of the JSW Challenger Squash Circuit by defeating South Africa's Cheyna Tucker in straight games here today.

The Asian Games bronze medallist Pallikal won her semifinal match 11-3, 11-6, 11-3 in a contest that lasted 36 minutes.

In another match, Egypt's Nouran El Torky confirmed her finals berth, beating France's Laura Pomportes 11-8, 13-11, 8-11, 11-9.

In the men's draw, Egypt's Shehab Essam Hosny sealed a place in the finals of the circuit routing Kuwait's Ammar Altamimi 11-6,7-11,11-3,11-3 in 50 minutes.

Meanwhile, Asian Games team event gold medallist Harinder Pal Sandhu recovered from a game down to beat Egypt's Karim El Hammamy 9-11,11-8, 11-7, 12-10 to book a place in the finals.
