Prices of palmolein oil declined by Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale oils and oilseeds market owing to slackened demand.

However, other edible and non-edible oils traded in a tight range on scattered dealers and settled around previous levels.

Traders said sluggish demand from retailers mainly led to the fall in palmolein oil prices.

In the national capital, Palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils eased by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,700 and Rs 5,550 per quintal, respectively.
