Palmolein oils gain on rising demand

Palmolein oil prices edged higher by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today following pick-up in demand from retailers.

However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a tight range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.

Traders said increased demand from retailers supported the upside in palmolein oil prices.

In the national capital, palmolein (rbd) and palmolein Kandla) oils moved up by Rs 50 to Rs 5,950 and Rs 5,750 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):

Oilseeds: Mustard seed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.

Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,000-1,200.
 

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,600, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,300-1,350, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,300, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,225- 1,275, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,275-1,375, sesame mill delivery 8,300, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,650, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,350, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 4,800, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,250, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,950, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,750 and Coconut (per tin) 2,700-2,775.

Non-edible oils: Linseed 8,000, Castor 9,700-9,800, Neem 5,350-5,450.
