Prices of palmolein and soyabean oil fell by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to slackened demand from retailers.
Linseed oil in the non-edible section, also traded lower on reduced offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said tepid demand from retailers against adequate stocks position mainly led to the decline in palmolein and soyabean oil prices.

Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils followed suit and enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 6,700 and Rs 6,400 per quintal.
Among non-edible, linseed oil also traded lower by Rs 50 to Rs 9,750 per quintal.

Oilseeds: Mustard seed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut seed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 800-1,000.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 12,900, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,950-2,000, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 8,550, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,350-1,400, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,400-1,500, Sesame Mill delivery Rs 7,700, Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,700, Soybean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,400, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,400, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 6,500, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,800, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,850 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 1,550-1,600.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 9,750, Castor Rs 9,600-9,700, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
