Palmolein, soyabean oils fall on subdued demand

The prices of palmolein and soyabean oils declined by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale market today on subdued demand against adequate supplies.

However, non-edible oils after moving in a narrow range on scattered deals, settled around previous levels.

Traders said sluggish demand against adequate supplies from producing regions mainly led to the fall in palmolein and soyabean oil prices.

In the national capital, soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils declined by Rs 50 each to Rs 6,750 and Rs 6,450 per quintal, respectively.

Palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils also traded lower by the same margin to Rs 5,950 and Rs 5,750 per quintal, respectively.
 

Following are today's quotations per quintal:

Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.

Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,060-1,290.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,200, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,250-1,300, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 6,500, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,150-1,200, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,200-1,300, sesame mill delivery 8,500 Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,750, Soyabean Degum (Kandla)6,450, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,200, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,100, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,950, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,750 and Coconut (per tin) 2,650-2,740.

Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,700, Castor 9,400-9,500, Neem 5,300-5,400.
