Palmolein, soyabean oils slide on lack of buying support

Prices of palmolein and soyabean oils drifted by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today due to lack of buying support from retailers against sufficient stocks position.

Traders said besides lack of buying interest from retailers, adequate stocks position mainly pulled down palmolein and soyabean oil prices.

In the national capital, palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils declined by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,900 and Rs 5,750 per quintal, respectively.

Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils also eased by the same margin to Rs 6,850 and Rs 6,550 per quintal, respectively.
 

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):

Oilseeds: Mustard seed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.

Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 930-1,100.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 8,250, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,350-1,400, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,870, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,250- 1,300, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,300-1,400, sesame mill delivery 7,500, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,850, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,550, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 4,300, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 5,850, Palmolein (RBD) 5,900, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,750 and Coconut (per tin) 2,350-2,400.

Non-edible oils: Linseed 8,400, Castor 9,700-9,800, Neem 5,350-5,450.
