Three 'panchaloha' idols worth several lakhs of rupees were today found missing from a temple at Melapuliyure in the district, police said today.
The priest, who had locked the temple's door last night, found it broken and the three idols of Varatharajaperumal, Sridevi, and Krishnan missing when he came for the poojas in the morning, police said.
A case has been registered with the police in connection with the matter.
