"One year has passed since the panchayat elections were held in the state, but the administration has failed to conduct the elections to BDC and DDCs, which as per the rules should have been conducted within 90-days of panchayat polls", AJKPCC core committee member Kulbushan Sharma said.
"The state should treat the sarapanchs and panchs as the other elected members of the house and give them some protocol like the legislative members or the corporators. We should also get the financial powers", Sharma demanded.
