Pandole, Adik topple top seeds to lift titles

Yohan Pandole and Aryaman Adik of Maharashtra toppled top seeds Aishwarya Singh and Abhay Singh of Tamil Nadu to clinch the boys' under 19 and 17 titles respectively in the 39th Bombay Gymkhana Maharashtra State Open Junior Squash Championship here.

Top seeds Megha Bhatia and Vivaan Shah snatched thrilling deciders to emerge champions in the girls under 13 and boys under 9 sections respectively.

Maharashtra's Aakash Gupta, Aishwarya Khubchandani and Chaitanya Shah, along with Yash Fadte of Goa, justified their top billings and won their respective age group titles.

Boys U-9: 1-Vivaan Shah bt 2-Yuvraj Wadhwani 11-5 11-4 9-11 6-11 11-7.
 

Boys U-11: 1-Aakash Gupta bt Jeh Pandole 11-7 11-7 11-9.

Boys U-13: 1-Yash Fadte (Goa) bt 2-Neel Joshi 11-9 11-5 11-5.

Boys U-15: 1-Chaitanya Shah bt Tushar Shahani 11-8 11-6 11-5.

Boys U-17: Aryaman Adik bt 1-Abhay Singh (TN) 8-11 11-7 7-11 11-4 11-7.

Boys U-19: Yohan Pandole bt 1-Aishwarya Singh 11-8 13-11 11-9.

Girls U-11: 1-Aishwarya Khubchandani bt 2-Yuvna Gupta 11-3 11-6 9-11 11-2.

Girls U-13: 1-Megha Bhatia bt 2-Jannia Singh (Chd) 8-11 11-9 8-11 11-7 15-13.

Girls U-15: 2-Diya Joukani bt 1-Aakanksha Rao 11-7 11-7 11-6.

Girls U-17: 2-Akanksha Salunkhe (Goa) bt 1-Aishwarya Bhattacharya 11-7 11-6 11-7.
