General secretary and Incharge of the party affairs in the state, Birender Singh, said this in a press release today.

Singh said the All India Congress Committee has received various representations and complaints, alleging neither a proper notice nor a proper procedure was followed when actions against the leaders were taken during the recent state assembly polls.

"The entire matter needs a through inquiry, so that nobody is punished without being heard, for this, a three-member committee is constituted and to report back within three weeks time," he said.

The members of the committee will be Vidya Stokes, Viplove Thakur and Kuldeep Kumar (all three are former presidents of PCC), he added.

Meanwhile all the orders of PCC pertaining to suspension, expulsion and removal of the party functionaries after November 4, 2012 are being stayed till further orders, he added.
