A 17-member state-level technical committee for restructured weather-based fruit crop insurance scheme has been constituted by the Maharashtra government.
The committee will study the fruit crops which are affected by changes in the weather, and the resultant economic loss.
It will submit its report through the agricultural commissioner within one and a half months, a press release said.
The Regional Director of Horticulture Department will head the committee.
